    This course will certify you for your concealed handgun license.  This course will lay a foundation you can build upon; as you begin to carry a concealed weapon on your person for the purpose of defending yourself against the loss of life or limb.   The course is an introduction to the consideration and skills you will use for protecting yourself in everyday life. You will gain a basic understanding of the Texas Concealed Handgun Law as well as the Deadly Force Law.  In addition,  you should gain considerable insight into what to expect in a life  threatening situation and how you can respond.

There is no place for a Macho or John Wayne approach to carrying a weapon. This is a self-defense program of action.  When in a life threatening situation the first golden rule is to retreat, retreat, retreat.  If you cannot - then shoot !
