There are several other states that will recognize your Texas license but Texas does not recognize theirs. You should call the Department of Public Safety or the Attorney Generals Office in any state you wish to carry that isn't listed above.

When traveling through a state that does not recognize Concealed Handgun Licenses from Texas you should have your weapon locked up with the ammo separate and both the gun and the ammo out of your reach. The trunk would be a good place if your vehicle has one. If not make sure you don't use the glove compartment and that you have it as far out of your reach as possible in a locked container with ammo separate from the gun. This would apply to all firearms and not just handguns. Locked ammo separate and out of your reach.
